A party of WCF group leaders visited many sites in Eastern China, and ended up visiting Chan Master Sheng Yen in Taiwan at the end of the trip.

The Dharma Drum website carries a report of the meeting with Master Sheng Yen when several of the party took a precepts and refuge ceremony with Master Sheng Yen.

A new book by Chan Master Sheng Yen is now available, 'Orthodox Chinese Buddhism'.

This is the first translation of a book written in Chinese in 1965 and gives the orthodox presentation of Chan views for a Chinese audience.
