Liturgy
Generally we have silent retreats. However we usually recite and chant some Buddhist liturgy each morning, and also most afternoons. We also use short texts on other occasions e.g. mealtimes.
On the Chan retreats we mostly use the morning service, in English and Chinese, as used at the Dharma Drum Retreat Center in New York.
On the Western Zen Retreat we use texts from a variety of sources: Pali, Tibetan, Japanese, and English.
On other retreats such a our Mahamudra Retreat we use liturgy appropriate to the occasion.
On the pages linked below we present some excerpts from our liturgy.
