Safeguarding in the Western Chan Fellowship
Our priority in the Western Chan Fellowship is to keep everyone safe. This includes people who come on our retreats and attend our local groups, and the staff who work to make everything run smoothly.
We have a dedicated safeguarding team:
- Alysun Jones (safeguarding lead)
- Juliet Hackney
- Sian Thomas
The team work to provide regular training to all our staff so they are aware and sensitive to safeguarding issues, to run DBS checks on all staff, and to be available to advise should any issues arise.
We receive support and advice from a specialist charity (thirtyone:eight) which deals exclusively in safeguarding matters.
If you would like to read more about safeguarding in the WCF you may refer to our Safeguarding Policy.
